Image created entirely of decorative and handmade paper materials and finished with a gloss medium varnish.
Original on gallery wrapped canvas with dimensions of 24″W X 20″H with 1.5" depth. Embellishments added to edges for additional detailing.
This piece was created as a member of a three part series with its sister being "Mental Pieces." Inspiration came from "Mental Notes" and gives the viewer a sense of movement with the different papered pillars overlapping one another and facing different directions. Each of the paper pillars was created entirely out of scrap paper from previous pieces and then overlapped, interwoven and wrapped around to create an intricate, textural design.
